Statement Of Faith:
We believe the Godhead is eternally existent and manifested as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14) … “God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (I Timothy 3:16)
We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God without error in the original writings, therefore they are the authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (Psalms 19: 7-11; II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:20-21)
We believe that Jesus Christ is true man having been conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins, according to the scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into Heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate. He is Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. All Christians are to live their lives continually filled with the Spirit and by the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:8; Romans 8:1; Galatians 5:16)
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation be obtained. Man’s only hope of salvation is to repent and receive forgiveness and new life through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his resurrection. It is the gift of God and provided solely by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7)
We believe that water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. In water baptism we are identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:3-6; Matthew 28:18-20) In the Lord’s Supper we remember Jesus and our covenant relationship with one another as His body. (I Corinthians 11:23-30)
We believe Jesus Christ will return visibly and personally. (Matthew 24:27)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (John 5:28-29)
